From organic landscapes to articulate tastes.
At Articule Café, coffee roasting is done with care and a genuine love for the process: roasting coffee to articulate its taste. The focus is on Costa Rican beans, chosen for their flavors and their consistent quality. Visiting the country of origin revealed the challenges that coffee farming has on the land, particularly the strain on soil and natural resources.
In response, the decision is to offer a 100% organic range, aiming to respect the environment and the craft.

Costa Rica
To specialize in a single coffee terroir made sense since the beginning. After a "test" phase (roasting, tasting, selling coffee from Costa Rica), Articule discovered the regions of Poàs and Tarrazu during a month-long trip. This was necessary to understand the processes and the people who make the country's products shine on the world coffee scene.
Genesis Coffee Farm
We have been lucky to meet an elder couple of coffee producers in this house. On the farm, they work according to strong beliefs about organic coffee, "swimming against the current" where producers choose to sacrifice productivity for the land's longevity. This encounter will define a part of Articule Café's vision: support the move back to organic practices. We're looking forward to work with producers who have this type of commitment.
